Acceptance of Terms
By purchasing, downloading, installing, or using KeyFlow (the "Software"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Software.
These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User") and the operator of KeyFlow ("we", "us", or "our"). KeyFlow is operated by:
Sebastian Jaksan
Indywidualna działalność gospodarcza (sole proprietorship)
Zgłobień 202a, 36-046 Zgłobień, Poland
NIP (Tax ID): 5170303216
REGON: 389558427
Email: privacy@keyflow.tools
We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time, and your continued use of the Software following any changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
License Grant
Subject to your compliance with these Terms, KeyFlow grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Software for your personal or professional animation work within Autodesk Maya.
- Individual license: issued on a per-user basis. One license entitles one named individual to use the Software on up to 2 machines (e.g., a workstation and a laptop).
- Floating license: issued to a team or organization. The Software may be installed on an unlimited number of machines, but the number of concurrent users is limited to the purchased number of seats. When a user closes the Software, their seat becomes available to other team members.
- You may not redistribute, resell, sublicense, rent, or lease the Software or any part of it.
- You may not reverse-engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to derive the source code of the Software.
- You may not modify, adapt, or create derivative works based on the Software.
Definition of a "seat": A seat authorises use of the Software by one (1) identifiable individual person. A seat may not be shared, rotated, time-sliced, pooled, or otherwise used by more individuals than the number of seats purchased, regardless of how many of them use the Software at the same time. By way of example, a license for four (4) seats authorises four (4) specific individuals and may not be used to serve a larger team on a rotating or shift basis. Each seat is enforced through hardware-based activation limits and license validation. Purchasing fewer seats than the number of individuals who actually use the Software is a material breach of these Terms.
Per-buyer purchase limits & no stacking: Each individual license, and each promotional or limited-edition license (including any "Founders" license described below), is intended to provision a single user or small team up to its stated seat count. You may not purchase, accumulate, or combine ("stack") multiple individual or Founders licenses in order to provision a larger team or organization, or to circumvent our team, volume, or business pricing. Organizations requiring more seats than a single license provides, or requiring deployment across a company, must purchase a Team / Studio (business) license on the terms applicable to such licenses. We reserve the right to refuse, cancel, or consolidate orders that, in our reasonable judgment, are structured to circumvent our pricing, and to require an appropriate business license instead.
"Lifetime" licenses: Where a license is described as "lifetime" or "one-time purchase," the term "lifetime" means a perpetual, non-recurring right to use the then-current major generation of the Software for which the license was purchased, together with maintenance updates and improvements released for that generation, for as long as KeyFlow continues to actively develop and support that generation. "Lifetime" refers to the lifecycle of the product, not the lifetime of the purchaser, and does not entitle you to future major versions, successor products, or separately marketed products released as distinct paid offerings, nor does it guarantee perpetual availability of online services (such as relay, analytics, or cloud features) that may be modified or discontinued. A lifetime license remains subject to all use restrictions in these Terms, including the seat definition and per-buyer limits above.
Founders offer: The "Founders" offer is a strictly limited, promotional early-adopter offer made available to a strictly capped number of purchasers (the "Class of 2026", limited to twenty-six (26) seats). It is provided on the following conditions, which prevail over any conflicting marketing copy:
- It is a lifetime license (as defined above) covering up to the stated number of seats (e.g., 4) for a single buyer.
- It includes lifetime maintenance updates for the generation of the Software for which it was purchased, as described under “‘Lifetime’ licenses” above.
- Priority support is included for twenty-four (24) months from the date of purchase. After that period the license continues in full (including access and generation updates), but support is provided on a standard, best-effort basis rather than on a priority footing. “Priority support” is a service level, not a feature of the Software, and may be adjusted prospectively.
- Limit of one (1) Founders license per buyer, per individual, and per organization. The offer is intended for individual early adopters and micro-teams, not for company-wide or organizational deployment.
- Founders licenses are personal to the original purchaser, non-transferable, and may not be resold, reassigned, rented, or used on behalf of a third party.
- The offer is limited in quantity and time and may be modified, suspended, or withdrawn at any time without notice. Founders pricing is not guaranteed for any future purchase, renewal, additional seats, or other product.
- Founders licenses may not be stacked or combined to provision a larger team, as described above.
Consumers vs. business customers: Individual and Founders licenses are offered primarily to individual users (including sole traders) for their own professional or personal use. Purchases made by, on behalf of, or for the benefit of a company, studio, institution, or other organization (and any deployment exceeding a single license's seat count) constitute a business (B2B) use and are subject to our Team / Studio license terms and pricing. Mandatory statutory consumer-protection rights, where they apply, are unaffected; however, a business customer may not invoke consumer-specific protections in respect of a business purchase.
Subscription & Billing
All payments for KeyFlow are processed by Paddle (Paddle.com Market Ltd., registered in England and Wales, company number 8172165, registered office at Judd House, 18-29 Mora Street, London, EC1V 8BT, United Kingdom), which acts as the Merchant of Record and authorised reseller for all KeyFlow transactions. This means Paddle handles billing, payment processing, tax collection (VAT/GST/sales tax), invoicing, and refund processing on our behalf. You purchase the product from Paddle, but the license is granted to you by us (Sebastian Jaksan, trading as KeyFlow).
By making a purchase, you also agree to Paddle's Checkout Buyer Terms and Privacy Policy. Your invoice will be issued by Paddle.
- Subscriptions auto-renew at the end of each billing cycle unless you cancel before the renewal date.
- You may cancel your subscription at any time through your customer portal link (provided in your purchase confirmation email) or through your KeyFlow account dashboard. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
- We reserve the right to change pricing with at least 30 days written notice before the change takes effect. Price changes will apply at the start of your next billing cycle following the notice period.
- KeyFlow offers a 30-day free trial with no payment information required. The trial includes limited features as described on the pricing page.
- Failed payments: If a renewal payment fails, we will attempt to charge your payment method again over the following days. If payment cannot be collected, your license will be suspended until payment is resolved.
Refund Policy
KeyFlow offers a 30-day free trial with full access to all features, allowing you to thoroughly evaluate the software before purchasing. Because of this generous trial period, we do not offer refunds on purchased licenses.
- The 30-day trial requires no payment information and includes all features.
- By purchasing a license, you confirm that you have had sufficient opportunity to evaluate the software during the trial period.
- If you experience a technical issue that prevents you from using KeyFlow, contact us at privacy@keyflow.tools and we will do our best to resolve it.
- This no-refund policy applies equally to subscription, one-time, lifetime, and Founders purchases.
- No refund, credit, or proration is due where a license is suspended or terminated as a result of your breach of these Terms, including any breach of the seat definition, per-buyer limits, or anti-piracy provisions.
Right of Withdrawal, EU/EEA Consumers:
Under EU Directive 2011/83/EU on consumer rights, consumers in the European Union normally have a 14-day right to withdraw from contracts concluded at a distance. However, this right does not apply to digital content delivered immediately upon purchase, provided that:
- You have given your express prior consent to immediate performance of the contract; and
- You have acknowledged that you lose your right of withdrawal as soon as the download begins.
By completing your purchase and downloading KeyFlow, you expressly consent to immediate delivery of the digital content and acknowledge that you lose your statutory right of withdrawal under Article 16(m) of EU Directive 2011/83/EU once the download begins. The 30-day free trial provides ample opportunity to evaluate the Software prior to purchase.
This clause does not affect any other mandatory consumer rights you may have under your country's national law.
Software Updates
Active paid subscriptions include access to all Software updates and new features released during the subscription period. Updates are delivered via the KeyFlow website or in-app update mechanism.
The free trial includes a limited feature set as described on the pricing page. Some tools and capabilities are reserved for paid subscribers.
We are under no obligation to provide updates on any specific schedule and may discontinue support for older Maya versions at our discretion.
Intellectual Property
KeyFlow, including all code, graphics, icons, documentation, and related assets, is the exclusive intellectual property of KeyFlow and is protected by applicable copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
You retain all rights to any animation, scene files, poses, or other creative work produced using KeyFlow. We claim no ownership over your work.
Limitation of Liability
The Software is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
KeyFlow shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to data loss, scene corruption, production delays, lost profits, or business interruption, arising from the use or inability to use the Software.
In no event shall our total aggregate liability exceed the amount you paid to KeyFlow in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to KeyFlow at any time, with or without notice, if you violate these Terms or engage in conduct that we determine, in our sole discretion, is harmful to KeyFlow, other users, or third parties.
You may cancel your subscription and stop using KeyFlow at any time. Upon cancellation, your access continues until the end of the current billing period, after which your license will be deactivated.
Sections relating to intellectual property, limitation of liability, and indemnification survive termination of these Terms.
Indemnification: You agree to indemnify and hold harmless KeyFlow, its operator, and their representatives from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Software in violation of these Terms, applicable law, or the rights of any third party.
Force Majeure: We are not liable for any delay or failure to perform our obligations caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to server outages, internet failures, cyberattacks, natural disasters, government actions, or third-party service disruptions (including disruptions to Paddle or payment processors).
Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. When we make changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you via email or in-app notification.
Your continued use of KeyFlow after any modifications constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you must stop using the Software and cancel your subscription.
Anti-Piracy & Acceptable Use
To protect the integrity of the Software and our business, you agree not to:
- Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to derive the source code of the Software (except to the extent expressly permitted by mandatory applicable law, such as Article 6 of EU Directive 2009/24/EC for limited interoperability purposes);
- Bypass, disable, tamper with, or circumvent any license validation, hardware fingerprinting, or activation mechanism;
- Share, publish, sell, or otherwise distribute your license key, activation token, or account credentials to any third party;
- Use a license for more individuals than the number of purchased seats, including by sharing, rotating, time-slicing, or pooling seats among a larger team;
- Purchase, accumulate, or combine ("stack") multiple individual or Founders licenses to provision a larger team or organization, or to circumvent our team, volume, or business pricing;
- Misrepresent a business or organizational purchase as an individual or consumer purchase in order to obtain pricing or terms for which you do not qualify;
- Use the Software with cracked, patched, modified, or unauthorized binaries;
- Resell, sublicense, rent, lease, or redistribute the Software in whole or in part;
- Use automated tools to artificially generate trial accounts, abuse promotional offers, or evade subscription limits;
- Use the Software for any unlawful purpose or in violation of applicable export control laws or international sanctions.
Violation of this section results in immediate license termination without refund and may subject you to civil liability and criminal prosecution under applicable law.
Verification & seat reconciliation: We use hardware-based activation, license validation, and anonymized usage signals to enforce seat limits and detect license sharing or abuse (as described in our Privacy Policy). Where we have a reasonable basis to believe the number of individuals using the Software exceeds the number of purchased seats, or that a license has been stacked or used in breach of these Terms, we may, at our discretion: (a) request reasonable written confirmation of the number of users; (b) suspend or deactivate affected activations; and/or (c) require you to purchase the additional or correct licenses needed to bring your usage into compliance ("true-up") at our then-current applicable pricing. These remedies are without prejudice to any other rights we may have, including termination without refund.
WebShare Relay (Acceptable Use): KeyFlow includes optional relay functionality (WebShare) for animation review sessions. You are solely responsible for any content you transmit through relay sessions. KeyFlow does not monitor, store, or moderate the content of relay sessions. You agree not to use the relay to share unlawful, harmful, infringing, or otherwise inappropriate content. We reserve the right to suspend relay access for users who violate these terms.
Governing Law & Disputes
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Poland, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. The United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG) does not apply.
Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms or your use of the Software shall be resolved by the Polish courts having territorial jurisdiction over the seat of KeyFlow's business (Rzeszów, Poland).
EU/EEA Consumers: If you are a consumer residing in the European Union or European Economic Area, the choice of law and jurisdiction above does not deprive you of the protection afforded by the mandatory consumer protection laws of the country in which you habitually reside. EU consumers may also use the European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution platform: https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.

Information We Collect
We collect only the minimum information necessary to provide and improve our service:
- Account information: Your email address, used for license activation and account management.
- Payment information: Payments are processed by Paddle (acting as Merchant of Record). We do not receive or store your credit card numbers, bank account details, or other sensitive financial information. We receive only transaction metadata (purchase date, product, amount, country of billing) needed to provision your license.
- Hardware identifier (HWID): A non-reversible cryptographic hash derived from your machine's hardware characteristics (such as CPU and motherboard identifiers). This hash is used solely to enforce the 2-machine activation limit on Individual licenses and to detect license sharing. The HWID is stored as a hash and cannot be reversed to identify you or your hardware outside of our license database.
- Usage data: Your Maya version, KeyFlow version, and operating system. This information is collected solely for compatibility testing and ensuring the Software works correctly in your environment.
- Tool usage analytics: When you use KeyFlow tools, we collect anonymous telemetry data including: tool name, execution time, success/error status, Maya version, KeyFlow version, operating system, and basic selection statistics (count and type counts only). This data is tied to (a) a random session identifier that resets each time Maya is restarted, and (b) a one-way cryptographic hash of your hardware identifier (HWID) used solely to count unique installations and measure retention. The HWID hash uses a server-side secret salt and cannot be reversed to identify you or your hardware. We never collect scene names, file paths, animation data, rig names, control names, keyframe values, or any content from your scenes.
- Lifecycle events: To understand product adoption, we record anonymous lifecycle markers such as first launch, first tool used, trial-to-paid conversion, and subscription changes. Each event is tied to the same HWID hash described above and contains no personal information.
- Website analytics: We use a self-hosted instance of Umami Analytics on keyflow.tools. Umami collects anonymized, aggregated visit statistics (page views, country, browser, referrer) without using cookies and without tracking individual users across sessions.
- No creative data: We never collect your animation data, scene files, poses, or any creative work. Your artistic output remains entirely yours.
How We Use Information
The information we collect is used exclusively for the following purposes:
- License validation and activation: Verifying your subscription status and activating the Software on your machines.
- Transactional communications: Sending receipts, subscription confirmations, renewal reminders, and important account notifications.
- Product improvement: Understanding which Maya versions and operating systems our users rely on to prioritize compatibility and development efforts.
- Tool analytics: Analyzing anonymous tool usage patterns to understand which features are most valuable, identify performance bottlenecks, and detect errors, allowing us to focus development where it matters most.
- Customer support: Assisting you with technical issues, account inquiries, and billing questions.
Third-Party Services
We use a limited number of trusted third-party services to operate KeyFlow:
- Paddle (Paddle.com Market Ltd.) acts as our Merchant of Record. They process all payments, collect taxes, issue invoices, and handle refunds. Data shared with Paddle is governed by their Privacy Policy.
- Email service provider for transactional emails such as receipts, license keys, subscription updates, and support correspondence.
- VPS hosting provider for our license server, update server, and review relay (servers located in the European Union).
- Umami Analytics (self-hosted on our infrastructure) for cookieless website analytics. No data is shared with third parties.
We do not sell your data to third parties. Ever. Your information is never shared with advertisers, data brokers, or any entity outside of what is strictly necessary to provide the KeyFlow service.
Data Storage & Security
We take the security of your data seriously:
- All data is stored securely on servers located in the European Union, with encryption at rest and in transit (TLS 1.2+).
- We follow the minimal data collection principle: we only collect what we need and nothing more.
- We do not use tracking cookies on the KeyFlow website. Your browsing activity is not monitored or profiled.
- Access to user data is restricted to authorized personnel who require it to provide support or maintain the service.
Data Retention:
- Account data (email, license records): retained while your subscription is active and for 12 months after cancellation, to enable easy reactivation and to handle support requests. After this period, account data is deleted unless legal obligations require longer retention.
- HWID hashes: retained while your license is active. Deleted when the license is permanently terminated.
- Tool usage telemetry & lifecycle events: raw event records are automatically deleted after 12 months by an automated daily cleanup job. Only aggregated, non-identifying statistics are retained beyond this period.
- Website analytics (Umami): aggregated visit data retained for up to 24 months.
- Billing records and invoices: retained for 5 years as required by Polish tax law (Ordynacja podatkowa, art. 86).
- Support correspondence: retained for up to 24 months to provide context for follow-up requests.
Your Rights (GDPR)
Under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and applicable Polish data protection law, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Right of access: You may request a copy of all personal data we hold about you.
- Right to rectification: You may request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Right to erasure ("right to be forgotten"): You may request that we delete all personal data associated with your account, subject to legal retention obligations (e.g. tax records).
- Right to data portability: You may request a copy of your personal data in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format.
- Right to restrict processing: You may request that we limit the processing of your data in certain circumstances.
- Right to object: You may object to processing based on legitimate interests, including profiling.
- Right to withdraw consent: Where processing is based on your consent, you may withdraw it at any time without affecting the lawfulness of prior processing.
- Opt out of non-essential emails: You may unsubscribe from product announcements and marketing communications at any time. Transactional emails (receipts, security alerts) cannot be opted out of while your account is active.
- Disable telemetry: You may disable anonymous tool usage analytics at any time through KeyFlow settings. When disabled, no usage data is sent to our servers.
How to exercise your rights: Send your request to privacy@keyflow.tools. We will respond within 30 days. There is no fee for reasonable requests.
Right to lodge a complaint: If you believe we have not handled your personal data properly, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Polish data protection authority:

Children's Privacy
KeyFlow is not intended for use by children under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If we become aware that we have collected personal data from a child under 16, we will take steps to delete that information promptly.

Changes to Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, legal requirements, or other factors. When we make changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
We encourage you to review this page periodically. Your continued use of KeyFlow after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.
